Link: FT.com / Home UK / UK - Brussels rift over broadband investment.
Viviane Reding, European Union telecoms commissioner, called yesterday for companies that build ultra-fast internet infrastructure to receive a 15 per cent return on investment when rivals pay to access their fibre networks.
La frase del commissario e' stata:
"We are stilI discussing the final details of this in the Commission, but I believe that the best way for encouraging long-term investment is to establish a priori a number of principles that national regulators should take into account when regulating access prices with regard to next generation access networks. In my personal view, these should include a risk premium of around 15 %."
Molto vago capire cosa intedesse, il problema di finanziare c'e', ma c'e' anche e soprattutto il problema di garantire l'assetto competitivo, a meno che non si voglia abolire la concorrenza.
